Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization!
Every day of the year, our volunteer teams prepare nutritious meals, serve our patrons, and help with cleanup. We believe that "breaking bread" together is a cornerstone of our community, and we need your help to keep this vital service running.
The Opportunity
We are looking for dedicated volunteers who can commit to one day a month throughout the year. Whether you're an individual looking to give back or part of a group (friends, family, or coworkers), your consistent presence ensures no one in our community goes hungry.
What You’ll Do
- Meal Preparation: Assist with washing and chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes under the guidance of our kitchen leads.
- Service: Greet our patrons with a smile and serve hot or cold meals in a welcoming environment.
- Cleanup: Help keep our kitchen and dining areas sanitary by washing dishes, wiping down surfaces, and clearing trash.
Requirements & Logistics
- Commitment: One shift per month for a full year.
- Skills: No professional culinary experience required! You just need a positive attitude and a willingness to follow food safety guidelines.
- Physical Needs: Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and perform light lifting.
- Attire: For safety, please wear closed-toed shoes (non-slip preferred) and comfortable clothing suitable for a kitchen environment.
- Age Minimum: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to serve independently. Youth aged 11–17 are welcome to volunteer but must be accompanied by an adult chaperone at all times.

Shift HoursTo provide a smooth experience for our patrons, volunteers are expected to stay for the full duration of their scheduled shift:
- Daily Shift: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
